ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that terrorist activities are being carried out in Karachi and Quetta under a planned campaign.Talking to media here, Rehman Malik said there are terror threats till Muharram 10, adding that there is information that any Imambargah could be attacked.
He said that he had directed all provincial chief secretaries to ensure stoppage of motorcycles half kilometer and cars one kilometer away from Imambargahs.
Malik said that party leadership granted him clearance to take all necessary measures for the security of masses.
He said there is no sectarian violence in Karachi, claiming that there is a third group involved in Karachi bomb explosion.
The federal minister said that they have reached close to the culprits involved in Karachi blast that took place previous night in Abbas Town area, adding that a major breakthrough in this regard is expected in few days.
He said that all unregistered cellular sims will be blocked after November 30.
