A newly formed 11-member board will now take responsibility into the administrative and professional development of police, marking another reformative step in the organisation and management of law enforcers.

Known as the Police Service Board (PSB ), the board will also look into the personal development and welfare and benefit of police.

The chief of police will endorse PSB’s decisions on policies, and rules and regulations, and seek approval from the home ministry.
