Oppn parties up in arms against govt plan to present full budget; reiterate demand PM’s resignation

The opposition parties Tuesday concluded that the caretaker government has no right to present a full-fledged budget.
A meeting of the opposition parties held at the UML headquarters, Balkhu, also decided to make a formal request to the President not to approve the ordinance brought by the government for the implementation of budget.
Four-party meeting postponed after UML boycott
A meeting of the three major parties - UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, UML - and Madhesi Front that was scheduled to take place in the morning was postponed after UML leaders refused to participate.
The UML top brass is known to be unhappy for not being informed about the meeting on time. The meeting was called at the initiation of UCPN (M) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal in a bid to reach understanding on the budget.
