A Pakistani soldier was arrested by the Indian Army in Poonch along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir early on Thursday, according to reports.The soldier, identified as Arif Ali, belongs to the 25 Frontier Force of the Pakistani army and is being interrogated. Cash
worth a few thousands and two SIM cards have been seized from him.
According to media reports, Ali told the interrogators that he had defected to India to seek asylum since there was a lack of basic amenities in Pakistan.
