BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has bitterly criticised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her “frequent but unnecessary” trips abroad at public expense.

The opposition leader made the remarks at a BNP standing committee meeting on August 2.

On July 25, the prime minister went to London on a five-day official visit to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games 2012.
