At least eight Afghan civilians were killed when a passenger bus hit a remote-controlled roadside bomb Paghman district of Kabul province on Tuesday early morning, police said.Two others were wounded in the incident, the Kabul police chief, Gen. Ayub Salangi told TOLOnews.
It's the deadliest incident of its kind on Afghan civilians in Kabul this year.
Kabul police has arrested a man who was said to be the operator and has set off the remote-controlled device.
No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the attack. Roadside bomb -- what military calls it Improvised Explosive Device (IED) -- has been the weapon of choice for the Taliban to target Afghan and Nato troops.
IED is the largest single killer of the Afghan civilians in the Afghan war, according reports by the UN and human rights organisations.
