LANDIKOTAL: A NATO container driver was killed in firing by unidentified militants in Tedi Bazaar area of Jamrud, officials and local sources said on Monday.
The NATO container was heading towards the Torkham border, after clearance from the Jamrud NLC terminal, when it was intercepted by unidentified motorcyclists, sources said.
Soon after the incident the Khasadar Force and administration officials rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area, sources said. Abdullah Azzam Brigade claimed the responsibility for the attack. Abu Zarar, the spokesperson of the militant group, threatened to target security personnel in the future if they continued to provide security to the NATO supplies.
