NC, CPN-M rule out possibility of joining Bhattarai-led govt

The Nepali Congress and the Mohan Baidya-led CPN (Maoist) have made it clear that they will not join Baburam Bhattarai government, as vaguely suggested by President Ram Baran Yadav.

The two parties arrived at this conclusion in a meeting held at NC president Sushil Koirala's residence in Maharajgunj Sunday afternoon. "Consensus government is not possible under the parties in the current government," NC president told reporters after the meeting, "We agreed that the leadership of the next government must go to a party outside of the current ruling coalition."
