Kamran Faisal death: Police seeks more time on forensic report

ISLAMABAD: During Monday’s hearing of the Kamran Faisal case, the police informed the court that it had not received the forensic report on the death of the NAB official investigating the rental power projects case and requested for more time in that regard, DawnNews reported.

A two-judge bench of the apex court comprising Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain heard the case today.

The bench was assigned the task by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to look into the circumstances leading to the death of the NAB investigator who was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his residence in Federal Lodges, Islamabad, on Jan 18.

Also during today’s hearing, doctors from the Polyclinic Hospital told the bench that there were still waiting for the forensic report.

Subsequently, the bench exempted the team of doctors from the hospital from court appearances and adjourned the case’s hearing to Feb 19.
