Medical practitioners in Pakistan have a golden chance to work in the land of the Two Holy mosques as Saudi Arabia is recruiting a large number of doctors from there.
A team of doctors from the Ministry of Health is in Pakistan to interview candidates, Khayyam Akram, deputy chief of mission of the Pakistan Embassy, told Arab News yesterday.
The Saudi government is in touch with the Overseas Employment Corporation for this recruitment drive.
The doctors will be from different medical fields — general surgery, neonatology, anesthesia, orthopedics, radiology, neuro surgery, internal medicine, nephrology and pediatrics.
Some interviews were held last week and another round will be held in Lahore on Friday.
Suitable candidates for the posts of consultants are those holding MBBS and FCPS or equivalent degrees with five-year experience after completing the FCPS or equivalent degrees.
Those holding MBBS and master’s and three years of experience will be eligible for the posts of specialists, while for residents, MBBS degrees with two-year experience is required.
