WANA: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has released a video of abducted staffers of the FATA Development Authority (FDA) on Wednesday in which the abductees are shown imploring the government and the FDA for their early release.
The TTP has threatened to kill all the captives if its demands are not met until December 6. The group has released a one-minute-and-fifty-second-long video clip which shows FDA engineer Khurshid pleading the FDA and government authorities to help secure their release.
He warned that the Taliban would kill them after the expiry of final deadline of December 6. The FDA employees were kidnapped by the Taliban on December 10, 2011. The kidnapped employees were shown in the video begging for authorities’ help and requesting the government to accept the TTP demands before the deadline in order to save their lives. Speaking in Pashto in the video, Khursheed said that they were kidnapped from Darazinda area when they were conducting a survey for exploration of minerals in the area.
The TTP has released three videos of the captives during the last 10 days. In the pervious video, the abducted employees of Gomal Zam Dam were seen begging government and WAPDA to accept the Taliban demands before December 3. Meanwhile, the relatives of the abductees staged a protest demonstration in front of the National Press Club. They demanded the government take steps for their release.
