Islamabad: Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has denied Pakistan's hand in the killings of two Indian soldiers Lance Naik Hemraj and Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh. Speaking to CNN-IBN, she said Pakistan is ready for a third party to verify their claims if 'India doesn't believe in its inquiry'.
"We have ordered an independent investigation, but we are offering more, let a third party investigate the issue," Khar said. She also told CNN-IBN that Pakistan has completed its investigation.
Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations also spoke to his Indian counterpart over the telephone and denied that Pakistani troops killed Indian soldiers. Islamabad was “a bit appalled at some statements” from India and that she was ‘saddened’. “I represent a government that has invested four years to build normalcy... an environment of trust to move forward to achieve regional peace and internal stability,” she said in an interview in Islamabad. Some Indian army sources told a foreign news agency that Tuesday’s alleged attack could be ‘retaliation’ for Sunday’s Indian provocation, indirectly admitting that Indian troops had committed the unprovoked aggression sparking heavy cross-border firing and a series of accusations and counter accusations.Hina said the Pakistani soldier had been ‘brutally murdered’ but denied that Pakistan operated a policy of ‘tit for tat’. “We are a responsible country, a mature country, we must not all go back to having a go at each other,” she told .
