NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday questioned the kin of former Air chief SP Tyagi in connection with the alleged kickbacks in the VVIP helicopter deal.
According to sources, retired Air chief Marshal Tyagi will be interrogated on Thursday.
The CBI on Tuesday questioned Aeromatrix CEO Praveen Bakshi in connection with alleged kickbacks in the Rs 3,546-crore VVIP helicopter deal which were purportedly sent to the company from abroad in the garb of engineering contracts.
Bakshi has been named in the preliminary enquiry (PE), where it has also named Tyagi, his three cousins, European middlemen and four companies - Finmeccanica, AgustaWestland, IDS Infotech and Aeromatrix. All these suspects have refuted allegations against them.
