Explosions in Landikotal; two injured

LANDIKOTAL: An improvised explosive device (IED ) injured two brothers in Tirah Valley on Sunday.

According to the details, the IED was planted on a roadside at Mangal Bagh Kandao area in Tirah. Sources said that the two men were passing by the site where the IED had been planted when it detonated, resulting in injuries to both. The injured were rushed to the Landikotal hospital, sources added.

In another incident late on Saturday, a bomb exploded in front of a general store at Peerokhel Area in Landikotal. However, no casualty was reported in the blast, locals said. This was the second blast after Eid that targeted a general store where items for women were sold. Sources said that no group had claimed responsibility for the explosions yet. The local administration has lodged the report of the incidents, sources added.
