ICC suspend umpires named in match-fixing

Umpires at the centre of the latest match-fixing scandal to engulf cricket following allegations made in a report on an Indian television channel have been sidelined from any domestic or international matches pending investigations.The International Cricket Council (ICC) have released a statement saying the umpires identified in the Indian TV News broadcast are not contracted by the ICC and that their national boards who employ and nominate the umpires directly - Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh - had agreed not to appoint them to any matches while their investigations continued.
