Maruti Alto 800 launched at a starting price of Rs 2.44 lakh

NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car maker has launched its much awaited Alto 800 at Rs 2.44 lakh to 3.56 lakh ex showroom New Delhi for petrol and CNG variant. Launching the car on Tuesday, Maruti Suzuki said, the company has already received bookings of over 10,000 units of Alto 800

Developed entirely in India, with an investment of Rs 470 crore by Maruti Suzuki and its vendors, over 200 Maruti Suzuki engineers worked on the Alto 800 over the last four years. The new Alto 800 sports a fresh look, is more spacious and delivers 15% better efficiency than its predecessor, claims Maruti Suzuki.

The company says, petrol variant delivers fuel efficiency of 22.74 kilometers per litre and the factory fitted CNG variant branded Alto Green, delivers a fuel efficiency of 30.46 kilometers per kilogram, 13% better than the outgoing Alto Green.
