BADIN: Eight members of a Hindu family were killed in a road accident during the early hours of Monday near Talhar town of Badin district.
The fatal mishap occurred at Talhar cattle pen near Talhar town within the limits of Tando Ghulam Haider Police Station, on Badin- Hyderabad road, as the car fell into a roadside lake, reportedly due to over-spreading.
Three women and two children were among the eight killed, whereas two other persons sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to the Talhar Rural Health Center where their condition was reported as critical.
Local police sources said that all victims belonged to the same Hindu community family which hailed from Thano Bola Khan of Jam Shoro district.
The bodies were sent to their native town for last rituals after the completion of medico-legal formalities.
