KSA seeks death penalty for killers of diplomat in Bangladesh


 
DHAKA :Saudi Arabia has formally demanded the death penalty for five defendants accused of killing its diplomat Khalaf Bin Mohammed Al-Ali in Dhaka in March this year.

The legal advisor at the Saudi embassy in Dhaka made the appeal when the court held its session Tuesday. Four defendants, who were produced at the court, have confessed to their crime while the fifth accused was absconding. Khalaf, an official at the embassy’s consular section, was shot and killed near his residence in Dhaka.
