Blast in Quetta leaves 5 dead as security forces come under attack

A powerful blast ripped through posh area of Quetta on Wednesday leaving five people dead including three security personnel while several injured in restive capital of Balochistan.

According to police, the target of the blast was the vehicle of security personnel while the bomb was planted in a motorcycle.

According to Bomb Disposal Squad, at least 15 Kg explosives were used in the blast while near-by vehicles were also destroyed in the incident.

At least five persons, including three security personnel, were killed while 15 others, including seven security personnel, were injured the incident.

After the incident, rescue teams and police reached on the site. The injured and bodies were shifted to near-by hospitals.

The security forces cordoned off the area while further investigations into the incident have been started.
