MSD retained as captain despite majority of selectors against him: Mohinder Amarnath

 

Former cricketer Mohinder Amarnath in an explosive revelation to a private news channel on Tuesday said that the cricket team selectors had decided to sack Mahendra Singh Dhoni as Test captain. He, however, said that despite mojority of selectors agreeing to sack Dhoni as Test captain, the latter was retained as the skipper of the Team.

When asked about the reasons of retaining Dhoni as captain despite majority of selectors voting for his removal, Amarnath said that there were certain internal influences over the decision. He did not divulge these 'influences' yet said that he will reveal the names eventually.







Amarnath, who is one of the selectors for the team, also said that personally he believes that Dhoni should be removed as Test captain. He said that though a good captain, Dhoni should not be retained as Test skipper.
