2G scam: Delhi court says it has no jurisdiction to order FIR against PM

A Delhi court on Wednesday said that it had no jurisdiction to order registration of an FIR against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his former Cabinet colleague Dayanidhi Maran over alleged irregularities in 2G spectrum allocation scam.

The magistrate at Tis Hazari court said that in an earlier status report before her court the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had said that they have already filed an FIR against DMK leader Maran and were investigating the petitioners' complaint against him.

The court said that it had no power to entertain the case. It asked the petitioners to approach the special court trying the 2G scam case.
