A man was killed and 10 others wounded in a motorcycle bomb attack in Sangin district of southern Helmand province, an official said on Tuesday.

The blast occurred on Monday evening in the district’s bazaar in Sangin when an explosives-laden motorcycle was detonated using a remote-controlled device, district chief Mohammad Sharif Sharif said. A public order police was killed, while three other policemen, an Afghan National Army soldier and five civilians wounded in the blast, said Sharif.
Taliban have not claimed responsibility for the incident but their spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, alleged Afghan and foreign troops suffered casualties in two blasts in the district.
