Big three start 'serious' talks | Nepal Diary


The ruling UCPN (Maoist) and the opposition Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) Wednesday claimed that they started "serious talks" to find a way of the current political deadlock.

Talking to reporters after the meeting at UML headquarters, Balkhu, Maoist vice chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha said the three parties had started talks from a new angle and that they would arrive at an understanding very soon.


President Yadav asks Dahal to take initiation for consensus

UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal met President Ram Baran Yadav Wednesday evening and discussed ways to end the current political deadlock.

During the meeting held at Shital Niwas, President Yadav is known to have inquired about the ongoing negotiations between the parties. He also suggested Dahal to take initiation for early consensus.
