KARACHI: Condemning the fresh drone attacks in North Waziristan while people celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr, Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh chief Asadullah Bhutto said that the open terrorism of America is a slap on the face of Pakistan’s rulers who are playing the role of mercenaries.

In a statement on Sunday, the JI leader said the US drone attacks were violation of international laws and the sovereignty of Pakistan. Bhutto said Pakistan had become a war-field owing to the wrong policies of rulers. “Even the GHQ and other national defense organisations are not safe now of the terrorist attacks,” he added. He warned of grave consequences of military operation at the behest of US in North Waziristan and urged the rulers to announce withdrawal from the war of foreign powers instead of bartering away the honour and integrity of country.
