QUETTA: Gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on a car in southwestern Pakistan, killing three, a Pakistani official said.
Senior police officer Wazir Khan Nasir said two people were also wounded in Monday’s attack in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack.
In a separate incident late Sunday, government official Pervez Ahmed said gunmen killed five people in the town of Mach in Balochistan.
Balochistan is the site of a long-running insurgency by militants who want a greater share of the region’s resources and more autonomy. It’s also home to militants who frequently target residents over sectarian differences.
