Three injured in rocket attack

PESHAWAR: Three people were injured on Sunday when two mortars hit the office of the International Medical Corps in the University Town area, police said.

The police said the rockets landed close to the American Club, according to police officials of the University Town Police Station.

The area is home to several US diplomats and houses many national and international non-governmental organisations. “It appears the target was American Centre and the mortars missed the target,” said one official speaking on condition of anonymity.
