Gunmen attack Syrian pro-govt TV Channel, 7 killed

Damascus: Seven people including three journalists killed  on Wednesday when armed groups attacked the headquarters of the pro-government al-Ekhbaria TV in a suburban area of the Syrian capital of Damascus.

Armed groups fired RPG shells on the headquarters of al-Ekhbaria TV at Khan Sheih area before booby-trapping the entire building and blowing it up, Syria'' s state TV quoted the minister of information, Emran al-Zoubi, as saying.

The minister said that after the attack, which took place at 4 am local time, the assailants "massacred three journalists  after tying them up."
