Navy officer shot dead

An officer of the Pakistan Navy was killed at the Karachi Port Trust(KPT) on Wednesday.

Lieutenant Commander Azeem Haider, was killed when gunmen opened fire on the Naval officers vehicle. Security Sources said that there might be a possible attack planned.

It was speculated that Lt Haider was investigating the PNS Mehran attack but security forces later denied that he had any involvement in the investigation.

Lt Haider was shot three times on the chest. He was shifted to PNS Shifa Hospital where he succumbed to his injuies.
