PM orders targeted operation in Quetta



ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has announced a targeted operation in Quetta against terrorists, Express News reported.

The Prime Minister’s order comes after the exertion of great pressure on the government by the Supreme Court and the rallying masses.




The operation is said to be starting from today.

The prime minister also removed Inspector general (IG) Balochistan Umer Khitab and ordered officer Muhammad Mubeen to take office as Deputy inspector general (DIG) investigations and IG Fyaaz Sumbul as DIG operations Quetta.

A six man parliamentary group, led by Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira, arrived in Quetta in a short while ago to determine the details of the bombings and to convince the survivors and victims to bury their dead.
