ISLAMABAD - In a twisted turn of events, the rapist and killer of a minor girl on Tuesday also confessed to killing two other girls, including a daughter of serving superintendent of police (SP) of Islamabad, Pakistan Today has learnt.
Police sources told Pakistan Today that a couple of months ago, the accused Ibrar Ahmed, in connivance with his girlfriend cum accomplice, Mehak Qaisar, killed a young daughter of a serving SP.
Last year, the dead body of SP’s daughter was found in her bedroom in mysterious circumstances at Margalla Valley, Bharakau.
However, at that time, the police official, whose name cannot be revealed to protect his identity, did not pursue the case.
His daughter, Aneela* (not her real name), who was pursing Masters degree at Quaid-e-Azam University, developed a friendship with Mehak. Gradually, Mehak began to visit her house regularly.
One night, Mehak stayed over at Aneela’s house for a sleepover. Later in the night, Ibrar paid a visit to the house. The couple then allegedly mixed pills in Aneela’s food. After consuming the food, Aneela fell unconscious. The accused then proceeded to rape the unconscious girl and later strangled her.
Sources said that the SP was in Saudi Arabia to perform Haj at the time of the incident. Upon hearing the news, he rushed home to attend his daughter’s funeral.
Sources further revealed that in preliminary medical report, doctors had clearly mentioned the presence of marks on the victim’s neck and suggested that the girl was strangled. However, despite blatant evidence of foul play, the officer did not pursue the case and did not lodge a formal FIR.
Moreover, the accused, Ibrar, further confessed to the rape and murder of a young girl in his native town of Lala Musa, Gujrat. Again, the rapist strangled the girl after raping her.
Sources revealed that the accused had established a pattern to pursue their victim. Mehak would first develop a friendship with the victim and then introduce her to Ibrar. He would then mix drugs in his victim’s food and proceed to rape and kill them.
Police source said that the accused confessed to raping and killing many young girls in a similar fashion.
Upon hearing the confessions, the Bhara kahu Police lodged an FIR against the accused Mehal and Ibrar for killing the SP’s daughter. However, the FIR has been sealed by the police.
Furthermore, the police has also arrested the owner of the medical store who sold the medicine to the accused.
